Having rented properties in multiple cities worldwide, I found that while existing search platforms offer great options, they often lack a personalized ranking system. Every time I searched for a new rental, I ended up creating my own—usually in a spreadsheet—manually sorting through listings, analyzing features, and assigning scores based on my preferences.
When I recently moved to Los Angeles, I once again had to go through this process. Unfortunately, due to the fires in January 2025, I was forced to relocate quickly, and so I found myself having to rank properties once again. With different variables mattering in different situations, I decided to build this website to automate and streamline the process.
I recently relocated to LA after spending several years in London. Currently, I’m on the lookout for new job opportunities, and this side project was born out of a desire to learn new skills, stay engaged, and hopefully provide a useful tool for others searching for properties in LA.
